WHY A FOOT HEALTH PRACTITIONER (FHP)?

Healthy feet help you to stay active.  Activity helps to maintain your overall health and well being. A lack of activity (particularly for older people) can cause a loss of strength and balance leading to falls.

Foot health is particularly important if you have diabetes. Diabetes can cause loss of sensation and poor circulation. This can lead to unnoticed injuries which may take a long time to heal and lead to serious problems. Regular checks by a qualified professional can help to reduce these risks considerably.

Many people find it difficult to trim their nails either due to poor sight, inability to reach their feet or thickened nails. We can take care of your nails as well as checking your feet overall and helping you to be more comfortable and active.

Making sure your feet feel good is crucial to how you feel overall.  We can often do small things which have a huge positive impact on your comfort and well-being.
